boys.

One of my sons (who will remain unnamed) was being naughty and playing with my earrings while he was using the toilet and my favorite pair ended up in the toilet.

Guess what they landed on?

Yup.

So, I started my day disinfecting earrings (however you're supposed to do that) and then all but burning my hands off trying to get them clean but honestly, no matter how clean your hands are after that there's no way to un-see yourself reaching in a toilet to grab something you plan on wearing again.

Hand sanitizer is going to be my best friend for a while.

Also?

Raising boys is not for the faint of heart (or for the germaphobic).

Just sayin'.

  1. Since I started working in "health care", I bring home the latex gloves we use there. I use them for EVERYTHING somewhat icky. If I wasn't bringing the gloves home, I would probably just buy a box, now having gotten use to them.

    1. Good idea! I would have used rubber gloves, but said child was in such hysterics (because he thought he was going to be in so much trouble) that I just reached in there quickly and pulled them out and tossed them in the sink. However, I think I'll buy a box of those for each room now that I've had an experience like this. ;)
